Rockwell’s emissions reduction target approved and published by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
Rockwell is proud to announce that Rockwell’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target has been approved and published by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aligned with the 1.5°C trajectory — the most ambitious designation currently available.
This isn’t just a milestone—it’s a meaningful commitment to rapid, science-backed decarbonisation. Our validated target aligns with the UNFCCC Race to Zero and reflects our responsibility to limit global warming in line with climate science.
And the results speak for themselves:
- Scope 1 transport emissions dropped by nearly 30% in Q1 2025 compared to Q1 2024.
- Scope 2 emissions from electricity have been cut by 100% at our Cork HQ by switching to a fully renewable energy provider
Other measures already in motion:
- EV charging points installed at headquarters
- Investing in sustainable materials and reducing site waste
- Educating and empowering our teams to champion sustainable practices every day
And we’re just getting started!
